Virginia, Part 1

Well the flight to Richmond was not quite as smooth as the one from Anchorage but at least it was quicker! We arrived about twenty minutes after Brandon. Grandad and Nana were waiting...with a camera!

Here is Brandon hanging out with the dogs, Bailey and Heidi. We had to wait about two hours so we could go back and pick up Chris! Zach stayed up and greeted his Daddy with a goofy grin!

The next morning Chris couldn't wait to give his Mom her birthday present. He got her an egg from one of the Russian matryoshka shops. This particular style is made by the family that makes them for the Russian Crimlin. It is a gorgeous take on a nativity scene.

On Sunday Grandad made everyone some Brunswick stew and everyone came over to visit.
Here Zach and I show off our friendly rivalry.

Here he is sharing his juice with Great Aunt Karen!

Yet another dental exam with Jessica!
Everyone brought gifts for Zach and Great Grandma even wrote him a poem!

Nana bought Zach a toy that...the pictures beg the question, "How many Roberson men does it take to put together a baby toy?"

For Chris' birthday we went to a restaurant called Texas De Brazil. It was soooo delicious! Basically they have a salad bar with everything from salads to sushi to soup...then they have about ten different men walking around with different slabs of meat that they carve off right onto your plate. I ordered the house chardonnay and at first thought it was pretty weak...but I was grateful for that once I discovered how salty Brazilians like their meat! It was a lot of fun and really great tasting! Great Aunt Karen babysat for us, which was a real lifesaver. Having Zach in there would have been...not relaxing to say the least! Haha. So he stayed at home with Karen and Rachel! When we got home they brought out Chris' cake for everyone to enjoy!

We went out to the mall to get some clothes for all the boys!

Zach had fun on Daddy's shoulders!

On one of the nice sunny days we all went out to a place called Maymont Park. It's an old mansion with acres of grounds they used to keep as different gardens and whatnot. They have a petting zoo, some bears, gardens and some antiques among other things. It was nice day out. Brandon was sick...he didn't get to go. :(

The goat is very photogenic.

Here Nana and Zach are watching the Black bears swim.

What a silly goose!

We took this picture after we climbed a very steep hill since the place wasn't stroller friendly. David and Chris carried the stroller like it was a chariot and Zach just reclined like a little prince! It was a great workout for all but Zach.

Here we're in the Italian Gardens. It was very pretty!

Chris and David went fishing for flatheads on the James River. Brandon couldn't go because he was sick! :(

We went out to eat with Great Grandad! Nana kept him entertained while we waited.

Here was another night out! We went out to eat and to the movies while Grandad and Zach hung out at home! We saw Couples Retreat....not so good.

Here are a coupld videos we've taken. We need to take more!
